i'm hooked on a new television show on PBS called "wired science" (mostly because it is available in HD over the air). i found this story to be simply amazing. people are actually able to see with their tongue!

teacher of the month...

i am pleased to announce that hope milthaler is kings high school teacher of the month. not only is she attractive, hot, super-duper, pregnant... she's the teacher of the month.

i'm proud of hope because she sees her job as much more than the ends to a paycheck. she loves the kids she leads and impacts them for a lifetime.

P90X

well, it's day ten of a new workout program that i'm on called P90X. to be honest, this is the first video exercise program that i have used and... i actually really like it. there are 12 or so DVD's and it works on the principle of "muscle confusion". which means, when you feel spent after 10 minutes... things switch up and somehow... you can do more. i'll keep you updated on how it goes in the future.

also there is a cool alternative to biblegateway.com out there. youversion.com is published by the guys from lifechurch and i really like it. there are some cool features that bgateway doesn't have.

snowdays

there is nothing quite like a snowday. on hope's first snowday of the year i also take off work and we spend some family time. it usually involves playing in the snow, fire in the fireplace, making chili and a movie or two. today hopie had the idea of using food coloring and snow. she and reagan spelled out his name in the snow. and... the chili was excellent! btw, my chili recipe is award winning as i won a chili cookoff about seven years ago.
